Mediterranean Airport Concept Project
“An iconic airport terminal where fluid architecture, light, and movement shape the future of air travel.”
Design Narrative – The Story of the Curves
Airports are often seen as transitional spaces — places we pass through rather than places we remember. Our vision for these terminal challenges that idea, transforming the airport into a fluid architectural journey.
The design draws inspiration from the rhythm of waves, the aerodynamic grace of flight, and the continuous flow of human movement. From these references, we developed an architectural language defined by curves — not as decoration, but as the essence of the building itself.
The curved elements form the foundation of the project:
Exterior: sweeping ribbons wrap the terminal, symbolising the constant motion of travel and creating a dynamic identity visible from both the ground and the sky.
Interior: curved ceiling bands extend
across vast halls, guiding passengers naturally while shaping light and shadow into a poetic atmosphere.
Structure & space: the curves blur the line between engineering and expression, merging form and function
into a single seamless gesture.
For us, the curve represents more than geometry — it signifies continuity, flow, and connection. Just as air travel links people across continents, the curves connect spaces, experiences, and emotions within the terminal.
